First Congregational Church is located at 4340 South Pittsford Road, Pittsford, Michigan, two blocks north of M-34. We are associated with the National Association of Congregational Christian Churches and were gathered in 1893.

Our worship services are in a traditional style, including well-known hymns, sung to organ and piano accompaniment, along with familiar worship elements. We hold to no creeds, other than the place of Jesus Christ as head of the Church and a conviction that the local Congregation has ultimate responsibility to find God's Will in our work together.

Our comfortable church building features:

Ramp access to assist those with mobility issues
All activities at one floor level
A brand-new nursery, with crib, tables for toddlers and playthings
A beautiful four-seasons stained glass window above the chancel
A Fellowship Hall which serves both congregation and community uses many times per year

Our people and pastor:

We have members and friends of all ages, newborn to 95 plus. Our average worship attendance on Sunday is about 40 people. People at any stage of their faith journey are welcome to join us, new Christian to those who've been a part of Christian fellowship for a lifetime. Most of our members and friends have backgrounds of factory, farm or education.

Our pastor is Terry Bobzien. He attended the University of Dubuque Theological Seminary early in life, and had been in agri-business for over twenty-five years before joining us in August of 2004. Terry grew up in North Dakota and appreciates the varied terrain and landscape of the Pittsford area. Having moved to Albion, Michigan over 25 years ago, he and his family feel as though Michigan is truly “home”.

We love to have people visit our church! Whether you're coming to worship on a Sunday morning or attending a community event in our Fellowship Hall, you'll find a warm welcome here.

We host a large group of people at our annual Ice Cream Social in the summer, and often provide space for the Pittsford Lions Club, when they have special events or other clubs coming to visit.

First Congregational Church is a mission-minded church. We support local, state, regional, national and international missions of mercy, education, healthcare and spiritual nurture. We believe that Jesus came for all the people, and that people of faith are called to assist in every way possible.

Kings Kupboard Food Pantry

First Congregational Church is pleased to be a supporter of the Kings Kupboard Food Pantry in Hillsdale, MI., with monthly donations of canned and dry foods. The food is dispensed to any who request it at the Food Pantry, which is located at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hillsdale. Many churches, clubs and individuals support this Christian ministry to alleviate need for those who are in between jobs, or those whose jobs do not provide enough income to meet their families needs.
